Mr.
Yousuf Ali Sayeed
B.Sc., LL.B.
Hons. (Buckingham)
After
graduating in 1995 with a B.Sc. in Marketing, Mr. Yousuf Ali
Sayeed went on to take his LL.B. (Honours) from the University
of Buckingham in 1997. He commenced practice at the bar in
1998 and has been practicing at the High Court since the
beginning of 2001.
He
has extensive experience in corporate and civil laws,
including rendering legal advise on commercial, banking and
corporate issues, structuring syndication, banking, financial
and leasing transactions; drafting banking, commercial and
property/security documents; structuring and documenting
financial/investment transactions, joint ventures,
acquisitions and mergers, and handling litigation matters in
the Banking Courts and the High Courts. He was actively
involved in the first Creditors’ restructuring of a large
industrial group in Pakistan by way of a Scheme of Arrangement
under the provisions of Companies Ordinance 1984, and has also
advised Financial Advisors to the Government of Pakistan in
privatisation matters.
He
is a member of the faculty of S.M.Law College and presently
lectures LL.B students on the Constitutional History of
Pakistan and LL.M students on Comparative Constitutional Law.
He is also a member of the faculty of the Hamdard School of
Law, where he lectures on British Constitutional Law.
